    Carrier vs Lennox
I need to replace my current YORK ac unit. I paid $400 to put R22 refrigerant in it couple of weeks ago. The A/C worked for 2 weeks and then stopped working (probably due to leak).

Anyway I quotes for a 3ton 13 Seer Lennox (13ACX-036-230) and Carrier (don't know the model)

    Lennox - $3300
    Carrier - $3000.

    Which should I go for?

    Any comments/advice would be appreicated.
    Thanks.

Take the Carrier. The reason I say that is that some Lennox parts can be hard to come by around here but I do not know about your area.

Thanks for the answer. We will go with Carrier.
However the mystery deepens. As I said in my mail we originally thought the r22 had leaked. Apparently it had frozen up or something. Today the AC started on current York system (which we had given up for dead). Any ideas what is happening here and how to fix it.
