New tenant right for move in.
We were approved by apt complex, paid appl fees and holding fees, arranged to move in today but did not sign a lease. Manager said not to sign until move in. We called several times to make sure everything was ready. We arrange for movers and truck and trailer, showed up at complex this morning, only to be told that our apt had a water leak and would not be ready for move in until next week. Since we were already there, they offer another apt (only a one bedroom across complex) free until original apt was ready. We signed a 4 day lease for this apt but now have to move again in 4 days. What are our rights on compensation for this inconvience?

    Hello our:

You had no lease. They weren't obligated to do ANYTHING, so you don't have any rights in THIS particular situation...
