    Hi Asc133...

    I have not used gatorbite fittings but they look exactly like sharkbite fittings and I have used a few of those. Further, they look to be the same fitting so removal should also be the same. For example, the elbow below is a sharkbite elbow.

    Sharkbite fittings actually have a REMOVAL TOOL... see 1st image. Gatorbite doesn't seem to have a removal tool.

    If all is as I think it is, to remove a gatorbite fitting you will need to shut off the water supply and depressurize/drain the pipes. Then you will need to push on the fitting as you or a friend press in on the outer ring of the insertion point... see image below. After the outer ring is fully compressed you will then pull on the fitting to dislodge the fitting. The outer ring must remain compressed while pulling the fitting off... should be as simple as that... I think... :rolleyes:
