    Military marriage
I am a 17 yr girl who is going to be a senior next month I make 18 in Oct, my boyfriend is 20 and is attending a community college in town and he makes 21 in Oct as well. We have been dating for almost a 1yr 1/2,we are both considering going to the air force when I graduate in May. We plan on getting married before we go but I would like to know is this a good idea or not. We want to get married before we go because we want to make sure we get stationed together. Is this a good thing to do?

If you're questioning it then I'd so no, it's not a good idea.

Obviously you have doubts. You're young, do you really want to tie yourself down right now?

Why not wait? If you love each other then waiting a few years won't change anything.

    Good luck.

I agree with alty *gotta spread the rep sorry*

If you are having any doubts its NOT a good time to be getting married.

    Good luck

Definitely wait. Going into the military and gaining experiences that aren't confined to your high school will greatly change you and your views; this isn't a bad thing, but sometimes when two people experience things, they experience them separately, and grow apart.

Let yourself experience life first before taking such a huge step. There's much learning left to do before you'll be ready to even attempt such a huge commitment. Have you talked to your parents about this and gotten their opinions? I would highly suggest this!

And who knows? Maybe you'll find someone who's an even better match for you! :)

I think you should wait, and see what other options, and opportunities you will have after high school. A lot can change in a year. Plus you both will be a year wiser.

Going into the military and getting married are 2 separate things. I would not confuse them.

By all means join the military, begin your career and see if you can be stationed with your BF - but I would wait on the marriage thing - I think you need a bit of time, distance and perspective on your situation before you make such a serious decision.
