Big Ben Chimes Don't Match The Hour
Can you tell me why, w'hen it is announced on the radio, the time is X O Clock, why does Big Ben not chime the number of hours that it is. For example if it is six o clock why does Big Ben not chime six times, and the same for seven, eight or nine o clock.

    Thanks in anticipation

Computer "chimes" periodically [ 3 Answers ]

I'm on WinXP - and my computer chimes, with the same sound as if I've received a new email, periodically for no reason. Even when I've only got one program open (that has no sound features). Does anyone know how I can figure out what is causing it? Thank you.
