I went to a hospital to get medical services. They took my insurance card and I assumed that the bill was full paid by the insurance. I never got a bill from this. I was sent to collection agency whitout even notice that I own. I found this out by accident went I got my free credit report. I contact the hospital administration and they sent me to the collection office. I called them and they accept the they got my mail back, which is a probe that I never got it. I paid the bill immediately, but still my credit is screwed now... All this was not my fault... Can I do something about it??

Ask that the hospital put the situation in writing, have them admit this was their mistake, send that written communication to the various credit bureaus.
