I have a friend who got hurt at work but did not file for work mans comp his boss told him he did not need to and that he would take care of him well now my friend can not work for more than a few days at a time and his boss cut his check down by half but he is salary is this legal for his boss to only pay him half his pay check when he is on salary??

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Your friend should have never foregone filing for Workers Comp. It may not be too late to do so. But, if your friend is taking days off, then the boss can dock him for missing days. It depends on company policy.

Yes, he may still be able to file for workers comp, he can do so directly from the workers comp office within their state, if he does not think the company will do it.

The pay is a issue of company policy. They need to see the HR department
