After first time
I'm 23 and had sex for the first time last night. It did hurt, but not too much, and a lot more on the outside of the vagina than the inside. Is this normal?
I noticed blood on the sheets in the morning, which surprised me because I did a lot of sport and use super size tampons when I have my period. Anyway, I am still spotting and I'm kind of tender. Should I wait till the spotting goes away before I sleep again with my boyfriend? And is it normal to have that much blood?

You probably should use a personal lubricant such as Astroglide. If it was fresh blood, bright red, it came from the very tender tissue inside your vagina being abraided by the sex. Only natural. You were too dry. As you become more used to having sex with you b/f, you will have to initiate a lot of foreplay which gets your own natural lubrication working.
You can use a small amount of baby oil as well.

Ok, I have been having very light spotting every time after I have intercourse and it stops after a few hours... and even this morning when I wake after the 5th time we had sex, there is some slight spotting-its like white discharge but there's some light brown spotting. It doesn't hurt anymore, I use lubricant and everything's OK... I'm worried, and I can't get a gynecologist appointment before 2 weeks or so. Should I stop having sex before I see someone or is this normal? :( And should I tell him? He has no idea, I mean he knew I bled the first time, but that was normal...

Could be from hormones. I was 26 and had sex bled after (not my 1st time) it turned out I had a hormonal imbalance and needed to apply estrogen crème.
You should contact your gyn and get an exam!

Is the spotting associated with pain? It could be that your body isn't used to sexual activity yet and a bit tender. You had intercourse 5 times in one night? That can certainly be enough times to cause you to spot from all the rubbing. It SOUNDS fairly normal, but I would hesitate to tell you to continue having sex when you are spotting. If the spotting continues to stay bright red then certainly, take a break. But brown spotting is a sign of older blood cells simply being cleansed from your body, and healing. That's a good thing, if it were ME I wouldn't worry too much unless there was pain involved or you started bleeding again. Call your OB and ask them though, that is probably a question they can answer over the phone before you go in.

Oh no, it was not 5 times in one night:) it was 5 times over a period of 3 weeks I think(he had to leave for a week)!! And the spotting has now stopped. I suspect the brown spotting I got was just some older blood as you said. But during the last week, everything has been normal, no pain, no spotting! I am going to my gynecologist as soon as possible though, to have everything checked out.
