    Pool is cloudy and algae
    Hello,

This is my first time. Recently my pool guy stopped showing up after receiving money so I'm on my own here.

My questions is since he did not come for maybe close to 3 weeks I see some algae coming. I immedialty added around 6 pound of granular chlorine. 2 days later the some of it was still there so I added another 5 lbs and again just let the filter run. This morning I noticed that is still cloudy but has a lot of dust looking particles settling at the bottom of the pool. With some algae appearing to be still present. (I can see the bottom)

My question is should I add more chlorine or add an algae side? I know I will need to vacuum at some point.

Thanks for any and all help.

    Charles

Did you test your waters chlorine levels, you should noy just keep shocking it. PH is also important and what type of filter media are you using, DE?

Well, I'm going to add some more to the pull as directed and wait a couple of days in see what happens.

Thanks for your help and if it doesn't clear up, I will be back.
