I am getting a new yorkie puppy (yay!). I am wondering about some easy ways to train your puppy, fast. If you have any links or answers, please comment with your answers. THANK YOU! :);):D:cool:

My aunt had these special puppy pads for her last puppies. I've seen them in target. Her puppies were trained pretty quickly, but I wasn't around enough to know how much the pads how to do with it vs. how much she had to do with it.

There isn't really a fast way, it is all up to how fast the dog is willing to learn.

Puppy pads are good for the very early months, teaching them to go potty in the one spot but they have the downfall of you have to re-train them to pee on the grass outside.

Don't let your puppy bite you, even when playing. It will teach them that biting is OK. When your pup bites you just say "no" and show the puppy a toy to bite instead.

Make meal times the same time very day. Dogs like routine and these days mine tell me when it's 6 o'clock and time for dinner, not the other way around!

Leash training can be easy or hard, depending on your dog.
Some dogs you can pop a lead on them and they will be walking within a day, other are harder.
For the harder to train I suggest getting a collar and putting it on your pup in 10 minute intervals, it just gets them used to having something around their neck.
After they are used to it you can attach the lead... don't pull on the lead, just follow your dog around with it on.
Next comes getting them to go where you want.
Gently pull on the lead while calling the puppy and offering treats.
Never scold when lead training for the first ime, it will only make them think that the lead is bad and take longer to train them.
If a dog pulls back and throws a tantrum while on the lead, don't let them keep doing it, pick them up and put them back down.
