    Home electrical circuits
I'm renovating an older home. It has a 75 A panel box. Several areas seem to be on each breaker. What is safe and can more breakers be added. There are dedicated breakers for stove, dryer, and 4 other breakers for plugs and lights throughout a 900 sq.ft. split level home. Thanks

Is there a way, i.e. a tool or instrument, that allows you to check plugs for their amperage and to identify which plug is on which circuit without the usual two person method of one at the box flipping breakers and someone at the plugs with a light yelling "on/off"? Thanks.

Thanks speedball for your answer. That cleared it up quite a bit. Enlight of this: I don't really know, but I two have seen them, and I think I'll take a stab at it. Living in an older home, I have seen many of these two prong outlets get worn out to the point where they don't hold a plug...
