    Changing child's last name?
    My daughter is almost 9 years old and she has her father's last name. I was wanting to get it changed to my last name because her father is in prison and has nothing to do with her. How do I go about doing this and how much does it cost?

    You will have to get his permission for a name change. As far as the cost goes its up to your local court system.
