    Changing child's last name
    When I got pregnant my boyfriend and I had just split up. We got back together after she was a few months old. But my name is the only one on the birth certificate. She will be 4 soon and I would like her to have her dad's last name. How can I do that?

    Have your married your boyfriend? If you have not married, I would not put his name on the birth certificate. My daughter is in the opposite situation, she put my grandson's dads name on the birth certificate and is now trying to change it. She needs the dad's consent and he refuses to give it even though he doesn't play a very big part in his sons' life.
