Removing old paid-off deed of trust, reconvayance
I bought a property in 1993 and the seller caried a note for 13,000. The terms of this note were 5 years at 7% interest... but that isn't stated in the deed of trust. Anyway, automatic payments were set up between my account and his account. The seller died shortly before the 5 year period was up but the payments were still made. Now it has been so long the bank has no records of the payments and I have had no luck reaching any of the seller's family members. How do I get this removed so I can sell the property?

    Hello m:

I think you're going to need the services of a good real estate attorney.
