Ok so my friend has been having some boy problems recently. She's been dating this one guy ( lets call him mark) for almost a year now and they're like madly in love with each other. I've had a few complaints with the guy, but I've finally accepted him as my friend. Recently she's met a new guy (lets call him steve) who she though was just going to be another friend of hers. But apparently steve has been shoving mark out of the picture. Also steve is constantly asking my friend out on dates and stuff. She's been coming to me for advice because she's starting to like steve more than mark now, but I think she should stay with mark. This steve guy sounds like a real fake and a jerk. He told steve that when he turns 16 that, steve's relationship with my friend is considered rape and that he should just dump her now so that he doesn't sin. Steve seems to be a over- Catholic guy and knowing what my friend wants, she's not going to go for the whole sex before marriage bit. I'm just trying to help her in the way that will make her happy.

You can't tell your friend what to do, it's going to be her choice in the end. But you can tell her your concerns. Tell her exactly what she told us. Hopefully she will keep your thoughts in mind when deciding what to do.

Maybe your friend should be the one asking for advice in this forum, so that we can give her feedback directly. Your friend has to "want" help for her to listen to other people.
