How can I overcome my shyness on a date?
OK so throughout my life it seems that whenever I'm with my boyfriend I can't seem to talk. The same goes for when we're on the phone. I'm usually not very shy but it seems that I just can't make a conversation because I'm so nervous. Before I started to date the guy we were able to talk just fine. Flirting is easy for me but when I get into an actual relationship I just panic! It would be great if someone could give me some advice to control my nervous side or at least how to talk to a guy! I really care about him and I don't want to lose him!

Let him know how you feel first of all. So that that there's isn't a misunderstanding.
That way, he can help you out by bringing up topics that might interest you.
Give yourself time to open up to him. But definitely let him know about your shyness around him.

As Iwish said, talk to him and explain your feelings to him right away. He could mistake your shyness for disinterest.
Second, it's a perfectly normal, and sometimes very endearing personality trait. It could be that this is what he enjoys about you. I'm very shy (in person, not on these boards HAHAH) but my husbands thinks is so cute that I get shy and flustered.
Keep your head up, and if you are really concerned about it, talk to you boyfriend and work through it together :)

I got the answer for you! It's in my signature line, the Eleanor Roosevelt quote.

Take a deep breath and say to yourself* I can do this ,I know how to form complete sentences*. Say it and then ,most important, believe it.
If all else fails just fake it.Fake it enough and it becomes real. Its true.

Focus on being interested in him. What does he like? What are his hobbies? Does he play sport?
Most people like talking about themselves, and they like people that are interested in them. Boys are no different.
Be interested in him, and you'll fel more relaxed and forget about being nervous.

Stop seeing him as a boyfriend, and see him as a friend you want to get to know. Telling him how nervous you are may start a great conversation.
