    Pregnant and Pain when I sit
    Hello!
    I'm 18 weeks pregnant and I have a new and weird symptom.
    When I sit down I have a sharp pain in my bum... I stand up and I will try to sit again. After about 3 time of trying it finally goes away.
    Could it be the baby is in a weird position?
    Also, When I do sit for about 10 minutes then get up I have pains in my hips.. I bend over and slowly straighten out my back until it is gone.
    Maybe it's nothing, but I am going to tell the doctor about both of these Symptoms.
    Sorry if I have been asking a lot of dumb questions lately... just this is all new and I worry. Lol. :o

    It sounds like what I had sciatica. They will tell you it is too soon but trust me it can happen

    I haven't heard of Sciatica but I looked it up.
    Is it common in pregnancy?
    How did you deal with it?

    1st I CHECKED IT OUT WITH MY obgyn. Once they told me it was sciatica and found a chiropractor who works with pregnant women. It helped some. One treatment every week.

    If your pain is in your groin area it might be your tendons stretching.


    This is why you need to get checked out by your obgyn.
