    Whirlpool Dryer
I can not find my manual for my whirlpool dryer and I need to replace the coil packs. I just need to know how to get to them, through the front or back of dryer. Can you remove the front of the dryer without the drum falling?

In most of the dryers that I've worked on (not a huge number), the drum actually rests on the front wall of the dryer. When you remove the front, the drum falls out. This is by design so you shouldn't worry about it. It's fairly simple to get it back in place -- simply rest if on the back "bearing". Reach through the dryer door and support the drum while replacing the front. You may or may not need someone to help you -- I've always manged to do it alone.
