    Cranking an engine
    My engine only gets fire when I am turning the key off, also it turms over but will not start it is a 1986 with a 460 in it help

    If this is old technology, then it's a classic coil resistor problem. There used to be a reisistor to limit the current to the coil when running. The coil would get full voltage when cranking.

I have a 16.5 briggs ohv put a new battery in it put another starter on it Ck all conecttions they are good.but when you go to crank it it turns slow And will even stop turning for a min.then turn slow and not crank. I have Got it to crank one time and it runs good.
