    Can I change the father's name on my daughter birth certificate, and how?

    My daughter is 3 yrs old now but when I had her the father is not around so I decided to put my boyfriends name on her birth certificate but now me and her real dad are back together what I'm going to do

    What are you going to do? Get an attorney to help you straighten this out as what you did was not exactly legal.

    So you committed fraud by putting the wrong father on the birth certificate, and now could have the wrong person paying child support ?

    I would say that first you need an attorney, the bio father needs to file for a DNA test to prove he is the father, and motion the court to change the birth certificate.

    In a few states in the US this may not even be possible if you waited too long.

    My husbands ex wife put the wrong name and birthdate on his daughters birth certificate and he now has custody and wants to fix it... What can we do?

    The wrong birth date? How did that happen?

    Were they married when the chld was born?

    When you say "wrong name" what do you mean?
