I'm engaged but conflicted
I've been engaged about a month to a man who totally gets me. Thing is, I'm 37 and he's 51, I'm not really attracted to him physically but on an emotional level we really connect. I've only been divorced 2 1/2 years and was married REALLY young, wasn't sexually active at all before that and didn't date much. (I was in a very conservative religion at the time.) To be completely honest, dating has been kind of a bizarre experience since then and I don't know if maybe I'm just looking for security in him. But now I'm craving the excitement and fun from dating and can't get it out of my mind. I know I'm better off when I'm in a committed relationship but I'm having trouble adjusting. Help!

The most important thing you can do at this point hon, is be HONEST with him. Don't commit to a marriage that you don't feel 100% ready for. If he loves you, he will be patient and understanding of your doubts and will be willing to wait it out with you rather than be married right away. Good luck hon *hugs* |
