    Bank Attachment
My account was recently attached. What are the legal notifications when this event occurs and how much can be taken at one time?

You already received whatever legal notification you are entitled to when the judgement was awarded. They can take whatevwer is in the account up to the balance of the judgement.

What I received was a notice of a court date. So the collection agency does not have to notify me in advance of a garnishment. I did not receive any documentation from the courts.

What you probably recevied was a summons notifying you of a suit and later notification of a hearing. If you did not show up for the hearing then a default judgement was probably entered against you. You may or may not have gotten notice of it.

Once they got the judgement, the judgement holder can get a writ of attachment without notification. If they had to notify you first, that would give you time to clean out the account.

You have to be notified about a court hearing for the judgement, Once they have a judgement they are not required in most places to notify you of a garnishment or attachment of your bank account, that is something most people just know once a judgement is issued.

They may take as much as the court order allows, up to and including all of the money and even future money you put in.
