The short answer is that you can't spot reduce. Some things like high intensity spinning classes do have a measurable effect on legs and hips, but will also reduce bodyfat generally.

However, I suspect that if the rest of you is in good shape, you're getting an illusion that your legs are shorter and fatter than they are, because you are always looking down at them.

Get an objective friend to point out someone in a mall with legs like yours and you may be surprised. Don't forget that the legs you see on magazine covers have all been digitally lengthened and slimmed. Real women don't have legs like those.

Legs that are skinny tend to make the rest of you look bad. I know one girl whose legs are long and slender. Trouble is, they just make her look like a potato balanced on two knitting needles. She'd look slimmer overall if her legs were a bit bigger.

True you can't spot reduce but you can work on your legs a lot more [give them a break every other day--focusing on one muscle group doesn't not give faster results and it CAN hurt your muscles or tear something]

Try exercise like: walking, running, swimming, cycling, squats, wall sits, lunges and stretches.

Go to: VideoJug - Life Explained. On Film.

They have awesome videos for leg workouts.

Pilates and Yoga also helps slim and tone down your entire body ;)

    I know so.

I know from experience that you can't slim your legs over night. It takes time. The best thing to do is to walk (build up to longer distances and faster paces) and swim classes can really help cycling has the same rules as walking and other legs excercises will help I also recommend horse-back riding it will slim AND strengthen your legs and it is fun and it is easy to find a place to take lessons at and as you get better at riding you could even try bare-back riding which requires more muscle use but as I said above ALWAYS BUILD UP TO HIGHER LEVELS GRADUALLY IF YOU DON'T YOU MIGHT SERIOUSLY HURT YOURSELF and you can't have over-night results
