Well there's this guy whom I'd dated for over a year. We where on and off because of silly things. It was always me the one that would break up with him. But then this last time, he broke up with me. This is how it went. He had been acting weird for the past week, so I asked him if he wanted to break up with me. He says he thought I wanted to break up with him and he was scared of that happeneing again so he broke up with me before I would break up with him. Now I'm with another guy, and I still talk to my ex. I still love him and he says he still loves me and that he regrets doing what he did. And I honestly don't know what to do. I like the guy I'm going out with, but I can't fully give myself to him because I still have feelings for my ex. What should I do? :confused:

Forget your ex.

You keep breaking up with him so of course he's going to be worried about it all the time.

Let him find someone new who won't change her mind all the time about whether she wants to be with him or not over (like you said) silly things.

It is hard to keep a relationship with an ex, your options are either be very open about talking to him with your new partner or cease having contact with him.

I believe it would have been a better idea to get over him first and gone for a bit to get used to things and adjusted to taking care of your own needs. It is hard to give yourself fully to a new guy when you just broke up with someone you've known for a little longer.

The on and off relationship isn't healthy and will drain you emmensly. I just wish you the best of luck. Try to take care of your own feelings and get them in check before worrying about others or you won't be able to help anyone. Take time just for you
