    JD 111 mower dies when clutch engaged
    I have a 111 jd riding mower that dies when the electric clutch is engaged. Have cleaned it out and spins freely while mower is running but when I engage the switch it dies. Any help??

    The most common thing that causes this is the seat safety switch.

    Used a jumper wire in seat switch.

    Shawn, you can't just jumper this switch unless you know that it is closed when depressed. Some switches are open when you sit on the seat. Test you switch with a continuity tester. Operate the switch and it should make and then break a circuit.
