    Sex Offender Adoptions
My husband is labeled as a sex offender. It was not violent. He did not know the girls age and did not even sleep with her but he caught a case anyway. But my question is whether he can adopt my son. We have a child together already but we wanted for him to adopt my son also I did not know if this was possible with his label. I am in Illinois any help would be greatly appreciated

If he is a sex offender ( on a list ) then how is it he is near your child in the first place ? So far as Im aware if your on a sex offender list your not suppose to be around any children unless its your own and the courts are aware of it.

I doubt it, but you can always try if you wish.

He can be around children he just can't loiter at parks or schools. And he can go to school for the kids conferences and what not.

No.. that would be illegal because he's not the father of the child. You need to figure out who the father is and then go from there. Get a lawyer and get them to tell you how to handle it on a local level.
