Activating the remote Hampton Bay 54 in Ceiling Fan
I just installed a semi-new Hampton Bay 54 in Ceiling Fan (Model AG577-VB). It was the floor model so no instructions came with it. I installed it (hard wired it) as it has a remote control that came with it. However now it is moving air to beat the band and the light is on. That’s where my good news stops the hand held remote (with a new Battery) is not effect. I may as well have my garage door opener in my hand; at least I would expect to have no effect on the light or the speed of the fan when, I pushed the open and close buttons. Can you help.. :eek:I would prefer not climbing into the addict every time I need to turn the fan on or off (that is still not answering how to slow or speed the fan rotation.
