    A khata is an account of assessment of property and it act as an identity of person who is primarily liable to pay property tax. Khata consists detail of your property which is helpful in paying property tax such as built up area, location, size of property and the name of property holder.

    Khata can be transferred from one person to another when you sell or buy an property. Khata for the apartment properties are literally called Khata for apartment. A Khata is one of the document required for applying for loans or license for building and trade license.
