    Heater/air conditioner unit
Came home tonight to find my heater/ac won't turn on, even the fan won't work. I checked all breakers and all are OK. Is there a reset button on units I should know about?

follow the wires coming out of the unit. There should be a box with a screw in fuse. Check this fuse and if its bad, replace it. Most likely this box will be silver looking, 2x4 inches in diameter, and have a switch on it(on off, looks like a light switch). You will most likely have to pull up on a cover to access fuse. Please let me know if you have one of these boxes,(they are called and ssu)

The fuse that you looked at is a special fuse and you can not tell for sure by looking at it if it is bad or not. It has two different purposes there two ways to go bad. Also you will have to look in the space where the fuse screws in to see what size of fuse will work in that space.

Wow, you won't believe this, it was that fuse, but that wasn't the main problem, he had to replace this one part that 6 wires go to, and it had something to do with the heater. It was some heat control. It had a very flat piece of metal on it and that laid right up against the inside wall where the fuse was. Anyway, as soon as he replaced it, everything worked. Thank you again for you help.

Sounds like it may have been your transformer, just glad you got it fixed. Take care. And thanks for letting us know the outcome.
