    Trying to conceive
I need help, please help me. We have been trying to conceive. My last period was on 7-29-06. I was supposed to start on 8-28-06, but instead I started on the 27th but very light pink with dark brown. It only lasted a day in a half. I took a pregnancy test but it showed negative. I have been feeling a little naussea like in the middle of the day. Was that implantation bleeding? Am I pregnant?

    Thanks,
    Claurisa

    Have you read this thread?

How long have you been trying to conceive? Have you ever been on birth control? If so, what kind and for how long?

Typically ovulation occurs 14 days after the first day of your last monthly period.

When trying the average woman takes 6 months to a year. Without trying it usually happens immediately.

Reason being when you are trying you stress yourself about whether your periods come, whether "this" is a symptom of pregnancy, among others. Stress can cause a woman to have a harder time becoming pregnant.

If you are on a regular 28 day cycle you should ovulate 14 days after the first day of your last period. Keep in mind that the egg is only viable to become pregnant for 24 hours.

So this means I may not be pregnant? This has never happened before, my periods are always very regular with a 30 day cycle. The past few months that we have been trying I kept getting my period. This was the only month that through me off. I am confused because I don't know if that might have been implantation bleeding or not.

Again, did you read this thread? (click on the blue words)

Implantation bleeding has not been scientifically proven according to many of my medical journals.

You do not mention your age, but if you are relatively young (even us older folks) it is not uncommon for a period to start a day or two early, or late for that matter, every once in a while, and by this I mean women who are truly regular for this to happen once in a blue moon.
