    Immigrant, divorce
Good day! A US employer petitioned my husband and I am his dependent. We entered US in 2006 and received our Green Card few weeks later. We were about one year and seven months married then. And now things aren't going well between us. I am planning to file for a divorce but worried if it will affect my green card. The expiry date of my permanent resident card is in 2016 and category is EX2... what EX2 mean? Do I fall under conditional? We have 2 US citizen children, both toddlers. Please advise.

Your permanent residence is permanent. it is not conditional. Your PR was not based on marriage to a USC, so no CR.

You have 2 small children and you are in a new country, both difficult for a marriage, please consider marriage counseling. Very good experts here on this forum. Good luck.
