    Control Panel
I am trying to get to my control panel but evey time I click on it a pop up screen comes up and says, Windows explorer is shutting down. Then logs off the laptop and starts up again.
PC world could not help they say they have not seen this before.

Assuming you are using XP, if not, Info below would still apply

Do you have any antivirus software that is updated and you can run?

Is there anything else noticeable that may be wrong?

Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any Software or Hardware that you installed or setup.

Is that the exact message you get posted above when trying to open?

Other than questions above, I would suggest downloading and running Malwarebytes. You can use this for free without purchasing.

    Malwarebytes.org

Let it search and repair 'fix' anything it finds.

Post back with as much info to see if can get this working for you.

Your computer is infected by virus or spyware so, scan your computer and go for some good anti virus like avg and also scan with superantispyware in safe mode.
