    If I have an ITIN # and I file taxes with my husband
    When I went to E-File with my husband when he put in my ITIN # it took a substantial amount of money from the return does anyone know why this would happen? Please help very important thank you

    Could you please give a little more detail here.
    Generally, filing "Married Filing Jointly" helps to reduce your tax burden.

    More than likely, the ITIN made the Recovery Rebate Credit invalid, which reduced your refund by $1,200.

    To be eligible for Earn Income Credit, both most have SSN.
    Must likely that substantial amount of money was Earn Income Credit

    Agreed; the ITIN deleted your Earned Income Credit!
