    Ceiling leaking from shower
Our shower is leaking through the ceiling in the shape of the shower cube. I can only presume it's the sealant but it locks a strong seal around most of it. Is it just a case of re- sealing?

Be more concerned with the drain line. The water must flow only into the drain tube & not around it. Consider a possible leak in the drain plumbing.

Best bet would be to open the ceiling up and see what's what the sheet rock that has been wet needs to come out anyway. Also is the ceiling leaking all the time or just when the shower is in use. Post back and let us know.

I agree with AC. Open up the ceiling and check wher the moisture is. Is it around the trap and raiser or more from the side. Could be a ruptured drain seal or tile grout that has shrunk. But you'll ne4ver know until you check. Good luck, Tom

I have a problem where shower water leaks under the shower curtain onto the floor (for example, when the kids or visitors take a shower) then works its way through the ceiling below. Hello, I live in a 2 story townhouse with the shower upstairs. A few days ago I replaced the Moen shower control handle (single) and splashplate behind it, and also the tub spout that has a diverter for the shower. All for cosmetic reasons only. There was a gap between the control handle...

We bought a flipped property about a year and a half ago, and, as I had feared, issues are starting to crop up. The first one we just had taken care of yesterday - there was no pressure regulator installed, and so we had 95 psi coming into the house. Unfortunately, I think Problem One may have...

My upstairs shower is leaking to 1st floor ceiling. Below is my troubleshooting: * I tested by not using the shower for awhile, leak stopped so I know it's not from water line. * I had water going directly to drain pipe, no leak so I know it's not the pipes under the floor. * I took drain cover...
