An occupant who does not want to pay rent
I live in North Carolina. My husband and I are renting a house. The rental agreement is in my name and my husband is listed as an occupant. He decided that he does not want to help me pay rent or any other bills and we still have 9 months left in the rental contract. He told me that he was not moving out. How can I legally evict him?

Welcome to AMHD. Luckily for you, you are married and you can petition the court for a separation or divorce and request exclusive possession of the marital home (and alimony, unless you are earning more than he is) and a restraining order, if need be. You will have the assistance of the sheriff, at that point.
