    No lease when I moved in
    If I move in to an apartment without a lease how do I prove I live in the apartment if the landlord tries to kick me out I just don't trust my new landlord

    You present proof that you're paying rent. Without a lease you are month to month.

    Of just your cancelled checks, on the deposit check, write deposit for... address. On rent checks write for rent at...
