    Getting a refund
    I owe a little over a thousand dollars in child support, and currently in the arreas. When I file my taxes I don't receive money back,so my question would be once I pay the total amout of my arreaes would I then get money back this year.

    First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion, especially when your question has nothing to do with the thread. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

    That depends on why you don't recevie a tax refund. Is it because your refund is being diverted to pay your arrears or what?

    Once you become current on your child support payments, the court will rescind the garnishment of your federal income tax refund.
