Removing exhusband from my home in Tacoma Washington
I allowed my ex to move in with me, he does not pay rent but does pay the heating bill. I pay all other bills (mortgage, phone, cable, alarm, property tax, insurance, electric, food).
I want him out of my house but he will not move. I am located in Tacoma Washington. Already tried a protection order but it was denied because of no violence.
How can I evict him and how long will it take. There was never any lease agreement.

    Hello k:

You have to evict him according to the landlord tenant laws of your state. We have a copy of them at the top of the real estate page.

It might take a month. Maybe less if you and the courts are very efficient.

Formal eviction proceedings are the only legal way to get him out of your home.
