    Honest days pay
Hi I am new to this site and this process. I am a college graduate, and a full time mom looking to start up a home based business. All of my research indicates mostly scam type opportunities. Are there any suggestions for someone who is educated and willing to work hard to create financial opportunities? Not looking for great rich schemes... just and honest days pay for an honest days work...

You are right... most of the offerings on the internet may be scams... or... you make someone else a lot of money while it is extremely difficult to make a living for yourself. If you are serious about working at home, working for yourself is the way to go.
What do you love to do? You may find that your best bet in a home-based business is to do what you know, and love, best. Look around at your community. What is needed? Where can you, best, serve those around you? People pay for those services that they don't want to, or cannot, do for themselves.
Now, write a business plan. This is not as daunting as it seems. Basically, write down what your idea is, and what is your plan for growing the business over the next 5 years, both financially and physically, broken down by year. How much money do you want to invest in your business? Money is to be had, especially for "working" mothers to start or grow a small business. See your local small business administration... it is the best place to start.
Although this is not the most quick way to make money, it is the surest. It is much easier to grow what you love... your dream... than to grow someone else's dream.
I left Corporate America, where I was a business consultant 12 years ago, to start a home-based business. I have been financially stable, and raised my 3 children to adulthood, as a single mother... at the same time I've helped thousands of people in my community. Fulfilling! Good luck to you... if I can help you in any way, please ask.

Well this time you can't edit out your question.

So I ask again, have you actually made any money from other poor unsuspecting people?
Especially as the site screams SCAM!!

    Hello d:

In my view, you're not going to find ANYTHING that would involve YOU providing a SERVICE to someone, like working for a wage type job...

If you want to SELL something, there's LOTS of opportunities - jillions in fact.

Can you make a nice living selling stuff?? You betcha!

    Hi, devmat!

You've already been asked by Fr_Chuck concerning what your interests and hobbies are and you haven't answered his question yet. I would like to take that a bit further and ask you, in addition to what he asked, what also are your skills, training and job experience that you've already had, please?

Almost everything that I do for a living, I consider to be home-based. However, they are pretty skill-specific types of businesses that are service-oriented. Doing them is how I make my entire living.

    Thanks!
