Resident / NOn Resident Status for Tax Purpose
    Hi,

I am working in the US on my H1B Visa. In the F.Y. 2008, I have stayed in the US for less than 181 days and 2008 was my trip to the US. However, I have continued to work in the US in 2009 and would work for the entire 2009.

Can you please advise, if I am eligible to file my taxes as a "Resident Alien".

If you are single, you will file nonresident tax return for 2008.
