Is it or is it not constipation?
I have a 6wk. Old lab, male who has a bowel movement, but very small. Is this normal? Before coming home he was being fed 3 times a day. Dry food with a small amount of wet food. Is this too much and could this be why he is producing a small amount?

He actually shouldn't even be away from his mother yet. What kind of food are you feeding him, and how much?

I brought my dogs home at 5wks, and to my surprise it was too soon to take them away from their mother also. However, the breeder was feeding them IAMS dry puppy food and we fed them 3x a day. They were normal bowel movements, but the first couple days were sketchy due to nerves and being away from their mother. Try to comfort him and act as his mother. Make him feel safe, and Im sure the BM will go back to normal. If this continues for another couple days, take them to the vet

A puppy should never be taken from it's mother before eight weeks of age. Just goes to show that you bought your puppy from yet another backyard breeder that didn't know what the heck they were doing.
