    Well... if you're SITTING in a hot tub, then chances of you getting an std is rare, given that the hot tub has been treated well with chemicals and cleaning supplies.

    If you're having SEX, I think you can get an std regardless of where you are.

    Anytime you have sex an STD is possible, it doesn't matter where you are.

    I don't think the temperature gets high enough to kill all the various organisms.

    I've gotten rashes from hot tubs because the ph level isn't right etc.

    Sex=babies and STD's, no matter where you are.

    It IS disgusting, but if the hot tub is kept clean with chemicals, the chemicals are supposed to kill off most of the germs/bacteria.

    The chances of a person catching an infection from a hot tub is very rare, although there have been a FEW reported cases of this happening, it has not been verified.
