Well... if you're SITTING in a hot tub, then chances of you getting an std is rare, given that the hot tub has been treated well with chemicals and cleaning supplies.

If you're having SEX, I think you can get an std regardless of where you are.

It IS disgusting, but if the hot tub is kept clean with chemicals, the chemicals are supposed to kill off most of the germs/bacteria.

The chances of a person catching an infection from a hot tub is very rare, although there have been a FEW reported cases of this happening, it has not been verified.
