    Use of Deceased Members SS#
My brother died in 2007, however I believe his social security number is still being used. It is too easy for someone to go online and retrieve this information from the Social Security Death Records. Please help ease my mind. Thanks

It is very simple to get their social numbers by random searches in the SS death index for example.

Part of it, if there is a issue, see about running a check for the number and see.
