... I have a criminal record.(.why do I have the feeling that I am @ one of those group meetings.? ).. I have started the process of what they call " record seal"... I have started this very process last year 2008 in August and I can tell you it takes aprox 8 or 9 mo.What a coincidence.. YOU'RE REBORN.. 9 MO..?. yeah I'm a real.. MANACE TO SOCIETY.. I MAKE MR.MADOFF LOOK LIKE THE 3 STOOGIES.. YEAH That's HOW BAD I AM... (.just kidding... that's how bad they make me look rather.).. however.. since 2004 I've stopped being.. BAD.. my record is in the final stage of being.. sealed.. but about a week ago I have applied as a.. seasonal food server @ the MIRAGE CASINO.. I was given a go for hire by thr food and beverage manag but now I have to go through the.. backround process.. OUESTION..?. WILL I HAVE A CHANCE TO PASS BACKROUND CHECK IF I DON'T HAVE ANY CONVINCTIONS ANYMORE SINCE 2004 AND IF I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING PENDING AGAINST ME.?

I will be honest I am surprised they will explunge your record if it has only been from 2004 but good luck. Normally they want at least 8 years and sometimes 10 years before they will do it.

But it just depends on the company policy, what is thiers ?
Did they ask about the conviction and were you honest ?

Well.. yes it is req.7 or 8 years but only if there are felonies involved,murders,drugs,fire arms etc.The only thing I have.murdered.was my dreams.. but yes my sealing process in thr very final stage.. I even have a letter from the judge.. stateing that my case it has been sealed with the municipal court of las vegas.the NEVADA HIGHWAY PATROL MUST FINALIZE IT NOW.. so what do you think do I have a chance.?
