    Rent in Escrow
On February 2, 2009, I filed for rent in escrow to protest paying February rent on a month to month lease for an apartment that I vacated due to unsanitary conditions. I was informed by the court that it will take 2 weeks before the judge issues payment arrangements for the escrow account. It will take 1 month before my case is heard. Should I pay the landlord February rent to protect my credit or will paying the landlord now hurt my case?

    Hello c:

If the issue that caused you to put your rent in escrow HASN'T been fixed, then I'd continue to pay my rent to the escrow account.
