    Wage garnishment.
    Is a company allowed to garnish monies received through disabilty or unemployment insurance?

    Exemptions from garnishment vary from state to state, though social security disability benefits are exempt by federal law. Check this: Judgment proof, disability and stopping debt collection efforts
