    Didn't fill out W8ben
Hello I didn't fill out any form, either W8 or W9 in 2008. I'm a permanent resident; accidentally there was a movement on the account and taxes were withhold. What should I do? Claim the taxes back? Fill out W9? Thank you!

Once the withholding is done, all you can do is get the money back when you file your tax return by attaching the Form 1099-INT that shows the withheld amount to your tax return.

File Form W-9 to keep it from happening again.
