I need to wire a honeywell RTH230B Thermostat
I need to wire a honeywell RTH230B Thermostat. I have four wires: Red, White, Yellow, Green.

I thought it was obvious where they went, but when my gas furnace went on, my electric AC unit also kicked on. What did I do wrong?

    Thank you in advance!

I am not qualified to give you an answer but I can say that those who can will need more info. How did you hook up the wires (what wires did you hook them up to)?

Can you explain better and maybe give some pictures if you feel it is necessary?

Here is more info. I connected the red wire to the Rh, Yellow to yellow, white to white, and green to green. It seemed very simple to me, but now my AC is kicking on and sometimes the pilot doesn't light. When I shut off power to the AC unit the heat seams to work better but the pilot doesn't fire EVERY time.
