This may sound weird, but how do I GAIN weight.
I am 21 years old, 5'6, and weigh 99 lbs... it ranges from 95-102.. but always stays at 99.8... I eat A LOT! And not that healthy.. I've always been small, but used to weigh more. I'm not sure what happened but I was in a bad relationship for 3 years, away from all family and friends... well.. I just got back and EVERYONE I run into, tells me how small I am and how much weight I lost. I eat and eat and eat.. and even when I know I'm full, I eat some more.. I hate when I get complete strangers snickering at me because of how small I am. I have had people think I'm everywhere from being anorexic, to balemic, to being on drugs.. and it makes me fell sooooo horrible that they think these things... I can understand if I did was any of those, but I'm not! I'm a very active women, always have been. Always worked out, and been in sports.. still am, but is there any specific foods or supplemetns that help gain weight??

You may just have a very high metabolism. My sister-in-law can't weigh more than 100 lbs. herself; she wears a size 4 shoe.

I say don't let it bother you; God created you the way He wanted for a reason; you're beautiful just as you are :)

Its possible that you are not eating the "right" kind of things, as odd as that sounds.

Look for foods higher in natural fats such as nuts, avacado, non-lean meats (think pot roast!)

If worse comes to worse, go to your local health/sports store and get some weight gain that body builders use. Take about half a dose and work out with more weights. You won't get fat, but some muscle mass goes a long way in changing perception of anorexic to athletic.

But really its all about perception. If you are healthy, what other people think really shouldn't matter.

If you really are eating enough, you might want to consider getting your thyroid checked.

In any case, it would be a very good idea to speak with your doctor to find out what they think about the situation.

At 100 pounds, you have a bmi of 16.1, meaning that you are severely underweight. Anything under 18.5 is considered underweight. There are a lot of serious health risks associated with being that skinny. This is something that you should be taking quite seriously.
